Victor Kushmaniuk is an award winning and critically acclaimed director based in Toronto. His career spans two decades as a television and film director, producer and writer. Victor’s career has taken him around the world - from the secret chambers of the Kremlin to the most remote forests of Africa, from the battlefields of Europe into the depths of the Atlantic Ocean – and beyond. Years of directing/producing experience has made Victor well equipped to design a show format, see it through production and create television that gets the numbers! Victor has successfully directed documentary, reality, docu-drama television and more – all with a keen eye for story, character development and an ability to deliver entertaining and consistently strong shows, no matter what the content or brand. Highlights of Victor’s recent work as a director include multi-Gemini nominated (including ‘Best History Documentary’) “Finding the Fallen” for History Channel, two episodes of “Dive Detectives” for History Channel/National Geographic, two episodes of the 2014 CSA Best History Documentary Series: “Museum Secrets” for History Television and the Emmy nominated “Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan” for BBC Worldwide/OLN. In 2003, Victor co-directed his first feature documentary, “Midnight Movies”. This award-winning film about cult cinema of the 1960s and 70s was a festival favorite across North America and Europe – being just one of three Canadian films featured at Cannes Film Festival and broadcast on IFC and TMN in 2004.
