Vikki Poncelet is a highly organized technical and managerial Life & Health underwriting leader with more than 30 years experience in the direct and reinsurance industry across Canada, Caribbean, U.S. And Mexico. In her current role of Chief Underwriter, Swiss Re Life and Heath Canada and Caribbean, Vikki is responsible for underwriting philosophy and risk management of the Automatic and Facultative portfolios. Whether it be case underwriting, product development or accelerated underwriting, Vikki balances sound risk management principals with competitive edge and works closely with her clients in order ensure their success. Vikki is currently a member of the Committee on Underwriting Issues of the CLHIA. She has served on several local underwriting associations and CIU. She served eleven years on the Curriculum Group of Academy of Life Underwriter including the lead for the successful implementation of the ALU 301 curriculum update. Speaking engagements have included topics such as Accelerated Underwriting, COVID-19 & Underwriting Trends, Autism Spectrum Disorders and Large Case Underwriting.
