Puzzles and more puzzles. Growing up, I haven’t always known what my career would be. I would tell myself that I would become a professional dancer, which seemed like a good plan until I went to my first Computer Science class with Ph.D. Carlton Davis at Dawson. His class made me discover programming and I knew that I was meant to be working with computers. As a child, I loved to solve puzzles with my mother which is why I was interested in his class because programming is just solving a more complicated puzzle. In fact, problem-solving never ends when programming, the world needs someone like me to solve them! Now as a Business Technology Management student at Concordia University, I am skilled with HTML, CSS, SQL and C. I have previously worked with the frameworks Angular, React and Vue. I spend my free time learning more about my field and this year, I decided I would enhance my knowledge by specializing in a C# for Unity game development certification with Coursera. Although I didn’t stick to my initial plan, I am currently coaching young dancers to love to dance as much as I do. I work 15 hours a week to encourage the new generation of dancers to become the best they can be. Being responsible, motivated and passionate are important qualities when working as a dance instructor. I wish to always keep learning because if you don’t try it, you’ll never know if you’re good at it.
