Victoria Tallman

Victoria practices Employment defense with the firm of Sheppard Mullin as an Associate in the San Francisco office in the Labor & Employment Group. Victoria specializes in providing business focused and practical advice and counsel to employers large and small, on the broad spectrum of issues that employers face, and conducts internal investigations and training. Victoria also provides litigation defense in single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and class and representative actions in State and Federal Courts. Having worked in Human Resources, Victoria has significant insight into the daily concerns facing today's employers. Victoria provides advice and counsel to employers on California employment issues in order to position employers to limit liability and preclude costly litigation where possible. Victoria has experience in advising employers regarding policies and procedures, employee handbooks generally, COVID-related compliance, misclassification and workplace audits, wage and hour compliance, employee discipline, reasonable accommodation, the interactive process, harassment, internal investigations, layoffs, and termination. Victoria graduated from University of San Francisco School of Law in 2010 with a Public Interest Law Certificate and was admitted to the State Bar that year. While in law school, she focused her studies in Employment Law, interned with the Department of Labor EBSA, was a Research Assistant in Employment Law where she synthesized the then-newly implemented FMLA Regulations, and worked in Human Resources at UC Hastings College of the Law. Victoria is admitted to practice in all California state courts and all United States District Courts in California.
