As a former Playboy Centerfold, Miss September 1963 and one of the Top 100 Centerfolds of the 20th Century, my life has been a journey of transcendence. I have been on a path of self awareness and personal growth, from Objectification to Self Actualization most of my adult life culminating but not ending in my role as spokesperson for women’s justice and truth in a Rape Culture world. As the 9th woman to speak out in the media in 2014 against Bill Cosby drugging, kidnapping and raping me in 1969, I have found my voice and am one of the major forerunner voices of the now publicized #MeToo movement. I was a founding member of the coalition that successfully abolished the statute of limitations on rape and sexual assault in California effective January 1st, 2017. I continue to speak for women’s rights and to raise awareness about Rape Culture in our society. I am a co-producer of the Healing through Creativity Festival in Altadena this year and perform Spoken Word and storytelling at the drop of a hat and am Avery enthusiastic Mistress of Ceremonies when asked to represent worthy charitable causes. I hosted and produced a tv talk show called Under Our Skin for nearly 15 years and was proud to spearhead a 24/7 radio station on campus and produce and host my radio show Under Our Campus Skin for 2 years and win a Superior Leadership award from Pasadena City College. I am currently editing my memoir Dirty Diamonds in preparation for publication and have been recently asked to record an interrupted album from 1969 when I was under contract to Capitol Records but didn’t complete it due to my son’s death and Cosby’s subsequent rape. I am a SAG/AFTRA member since 1966 though acting has taken a back seat to my primary focus of being a VOICE in the media and a public speaker as I raise consciousness and lend my support to Women’s and Victim Empowerment and Ending RapeCulture in today’s society.
