Vikram Pal-Chodha

I have worked in 3 different places prior to my current role at The National Physical Laboratory, all where I have had direct interaction with customers and been left to work alone, a-test driving school, flavours of India and Everglade windows ltd. At a-test driving school I answered phone calls, emails and walk in pupils. I took their details and passed them on to all of the driving instructors, my job roll also included, cash handling, making sure all customers were satisfied by calling or emailing them to confirm that they were happy with there instructors, I enjoyed talking to and meeting new people and ensuring that all matters were handled smoothly by making the follow up calls. At flavours of India I was the manager/head barman/waiter. I met new people face to face on a daily basis, I greeted customers with a smile, showed them to there seats, took their orders and also dealt with suppliers. I enjoyed this very much because of the fast pace surroundings and also interacting with new people on a day to day basis. At my previous roll before joining The National Physical Laboratory I was employed at Everglade windows where I was a logistics assistant. I liaise with staff and customers throughout my day organising windows for delivery and collections I do spend most of my day alone but it I have gotten used to it and most of the time I prefer it. I enjoy taking control of a situation should it occur and being able to rectify the problem in a calm matter I like that every day had different challenges.
