Vincent Chou

This is Wen-Shen Chou (Vincent Chou). My expertise is in advanced technology design and process co-optimization for mixed-signal circuits. I have been working in the world-leading semiconductor manufacturing company TSMC R&D for over 20 years with sound background from mature to advanced technologies. As technology continues to evolve and advanced, I had published 11 papers in 1st tier academic journals and conferences, eg. IEEE Journal of Solid State Circuits and VLSI symposium. In addition, I also possessed over 30 US patents, and Ph.D degree from National Chiao-Tung University. My research recently focus on advance FinFET process mixed-signal design methodology to enable robust manufacturing yield and improved productivity. I innitiated and lead the analog cell development in TSMC by using only few gate length and number of fins MOS devices to complete mixed-signal circuit design and layout like BRICKs. This innovated design methodology can enable programmable analog design and pave the way for design automation and node-to-node easy migration. I have strong background in mixed-signal IP design eg, Digital-to-Analog Converter, DC-DC converter, PLL, Bandgap, LDO, PMIC etc with successful tapeout and silicon verification in advanced FinFET technologies.
