Vincenzo Caporale, Esq.

I am a proud son of the South Side of Chicago. I grew up with a civic mind in a union home, as my father is an immigrant and public servant (Chicago Streets & Sanitation), and my mother worked for the local chamber of commerce. My background is in policy and politics, having worked in public offices at the local and state level, and campaigning at the local, state, and federal level for progressive and reform candidates. In my spare time I travel, dance, enjoy Chicago's culture, volunteer feeding the houseless, and host a pop culture walking tour exploring the neighborhoods of Chicago. In my legal practice, I advocate for the people and defend their civil rights. I litigate §1983 actions and represent victims of police misconduct, those who suffer violations of excessive force, police shootings, false arrest, malicious prosecution, unreasonable search & seizure, civil conspiracy, and defective warrants. I also represent prisoners on claims of excessive force, deliberate indifference to medical care, failure to intervene, and inhumane conditions of confinement. I handle business litigation for commercial clients as well. I am licensed to practice in the State of Illinois, and admitted to practice in the Federal Courts for the Northern Districts of Illinois and Indiana, the Central District of Illinois, and the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
