Vinh Tran

Vinh Tran is a professional engineer with 8+ years of experience. Vinh graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He is experienced in Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux operating systems and the programming languages C, C++, and Python. Vinh Tran has worked on a variety of projects ranging from network design to developing test applications. While working for Southwest Research Institute, he assisted in designing network architecture and implementing a demonstration of how to integrate legacy, current and new command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) equipment on a common data bus in military vehicles. He was involved in development and test of a data acquisition and recording system for a major airplane manufacturer. Vinh also contributed in the design, test, and integration of Asynchronous Transfer Mode/Ethernet-based video switching systems. He designed a regional network that allows cooperating agencies to exchange data and video in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
