The field of Orthoptics appeals to me because I would be able to work with a team of other eye specialists to diagnose and treat a range of abnormalities of eye movement in people of all ages, especially children. The opportunity and ability to treat the eye problems of children and adults with binocular disorders is something that I have long decided should be a part of my personal identity. I want to work to solve the rising problem of ocular motility problems in impoverished children. Being able to share the gift of treatment with children who are in need would help me feel job satisfaction.
