I am a highly competent and successful engineering professional who uses my technical expertise to help industry ensure optimal reliability and integrity of plant equipment to achieve operational excellence with minimum cost impact. I have nearly 20 years’ local and international experience servicing the oil & gas, chemical processing, petrochemical, manufacturing and energy industries, covering a wide spectrum of senior engineering management positions, operational, consulting and R&D engineering roles, and academic posts. My technical skills and areas of expertise and practice comprise asset integrity management, materials & corrosion (M&C), risk based inspection (RBI), and mechanical integrity, reliability & maintenance. With a strong track record of sound technical judgement and pragmatism, I have consistently delivered innovative and sustainable engineering solutions through the application of deep technical expertise, including knowledge of the business context and relevant industry codes and standards, to ensure safe and reliable operation of the plant and equipment. Being passionate and focused on safety and reliability, I pride myself on my ability to identify improvement opportunities and minimise integrity risks. I hold a PhD and MSc in Mechanical Engineering. I am a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia (FIEAust), a practicing member of National Engineering Register (NER) Australia, and also a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
