“THE MORE YOU KNOW, THE LESS YOU CARRY” – Mors Kochanski At WGBK we practice the skills needed to survive in the bush, hills, swamps, and desert; and create the gear that makes this most easily possible. We are Bushcraft apprentices, committed to learning new skills and creating new innovations. “Bushcraft is about thriving in the natural environment, and the acquisition of the skills and knowledge to do so. Bushcraft skills include firecraft, tracking, hunting, fishing, shelter-building, navigation by natural means, the use of tools such as knives and axes, foraging, water sourcing, hand-carving wood, container construction from natural materials, and rope and twine-making, among others.” WG Bushkraft is all about obtaining these important life skills. Our Mission To teach life and leadership skills by connecting the science of Bushcraft with the art of leadership. To create innovative and usable outdoor gear for the novice and experienced outdoors enthusiast. Our Story A very low point in our founder’s life turned into a blessing when he decided to realize his dream of sharing the skills and practice of Bushcraft with those around him, igniting a passion that was on smoking embers since his time in the U.S. Military as a Cavalry Scout, Airborne Ranger, and Sapper. Since his first introduction of taking a volunteer role in the Boy Scouts of America in 2010, Craig Avery has increasingly become a passionate outdoors enthusiast, survival equipment innovator, and life skills instructor. WG Bushkraft is about connecting the knowledge and ability needed to thrive in the outdoors, with the intestinal fortitude and leadership traits essential to building the mental toughness to face our darkest fears, and the realization that we just need to “embrace our inner animal” to thrive in business, life, and family.
