Started my career from working at event management as a strategic business consultant followed by marketing specialist, I learned a lot about how those businesses works in the real life. There is lot to learn from the people who did not attend school or college for learning business. It literally mesmerize me to see how they have been successfully doing business without having key knowledge of business. Right after graduation, at the time of my co-op program, I joined the fastest growing tech company, aka ride-sharing company in Bangladesh. Though my ID number at the company was over 100 but, the department I joined was completely fresh. Since then, I have learned a lot from the position I hold. I have seen the company to go from 100+ employees to 1500 employees, less than 50K customers to 1 Million customers using the platform and making it their daily necessity. After joining, I starting from going out in the field with 40 degree celsius temperature outside to on-board our online marketplace merchants to doing meeting with the top business/ company managements in Bangladesh to do successful partnership. Creating new business ventures to changing many traditional cultures. In the meantime, I learned how startups can change the economy of country and gained immense amount of interest on learning about new startups which changes the lifestyle of an entire inhabitant of a country. My tenure at the fastest growing startup in the country taught me more than anyone with in a structured company can learn with a time frame of 2-5 years. I recommend anyone coming to me with the intention for suggestion regarding which industry would be preferable to join for learning about the market, I always, always recommend to join a startup with high potential to change the industry outlook.
