Brink Publishing & Design has been in business for the past 15 years. Before going into typesetting , I worked at Maskew Miller Longman, as a Production and Traffic controller, due to this I have gained experience and have a good understanding of the process of book production from manuscript to masterset. Presently I work side-by-side with an Editor/Project Manager with over 35 years experience, which I feel is an added advantage. Most of my freelance work has been for Cambridge University Press, working on the NCS and CAPS submissions and resubmissions, therefore I am used to hectic deadlines. I have also worked for New Africa Books, Heinemann, Maskew Miller Longman and Juta. I specialise in Accounting typesetting, but have also typeset other content areas from Grades 1 to 12 – in all indigenous languages. I work in the latest Adobe programmes, namely, Indesign CS6, Illustrator CS6 and Photoshop CS6. I have also recently completed the Interactive PDF & Adobe Digital Publishing Suite Course at Friends of Design in preparation for the up and coming E-pub transition.
