SKILLS AND STRENGTHS ~ Over fifteen years as a health services and mental health para-professional. Compassionate, courteous, empathetic, professional, ethical, loyal, medical arts educated, computer literate, CPR and First Aid Certified and possesses a clean class C Drivers License. Empowers, represents, promotes self advocacy, supports, communicates, and informs consumers and families/caregivers who directly or indirectly receive mental health services. Facilitates/ co-facilitates groups, documents activities as required. OBJECTIVES ~ To be of service in assisting those in need of obtaining and maintaining recovery from mental health and substance abuse challenges. My desired is to be a part of a team of mental health peer supports para-professionals where my Peer Support Specialist skills, training and lived experience can be utilized.
