Wayne Samuels

I am a senior at Texas A&M University majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Over the past few years in college, I've developed a wealth of knowledge in problem-solving and worked diligently every day to develop energy and improve people's lives. As a first-year student at Texas A&M, I participated in entrepreneurial competitions and robotics, along with learning new engineering skills. This led me to discover my love of finding out what the future holds. It is my dream to help build a future where energy is more affordable and reliable, with less environmental impact. As a result of this experience, I decided to become a mentor to students interested in STEM in order to share my knowledge and provide professional assistance to new undergraduates. During my time at Austin White Lime Company, I developed leadership skills by creating daily events. In my role at Austin White Lime Company, I assisted with new projects, the commissioning of new equipment, and learned about plant maintenance. My experience gained from this allowed me to gain valuable insights into the engineering industry that I could apply to any plant operation setting in the future.
