Wendy Golden

As Director of Environment, Social Value and Governance for UK & Europe at City Facilities Management Holdings Ltd, Wendy is passionate in leading the development of City’s strategic approach to our Environmental, Social and Governance responsibilities. As part of the senior leadership team, Wendy is City’s key contact on all ESG matters, with clients, central and local government bodies, industry experts and community groups. It is Wendy's responsibility to ensure that City implements appropriate policy and strategies to ensure that throughout our organisation City remains clearly focussed on embracing our Environmental, Social Value and Governance responsibilities, measuring and monitoring our impact on an ongoing basis. As an experienced Risk and Assurance Professional, Wendy worked with the wider Senior Leadership Team at City, supporting business growth by ensuring that City’s Risk, Compliance and Assurance activities across the UK and Europe, were designed to adequately monitor risk exposure and manage this in line with business risk appetite. Prior to joining City as Head of Internal Audit in 2012, Wendy spent 15 years at PwC, providing both internal/external audit, non-audit Assurance, Risk advisory, internal controls and process Improvement services and advice to a wide range of Global client businesses. This included managing global Assurance and audit engagements of large banks, investment companies, insurance and other financial services clients and other listed company clients in sectors ranging from healthcare, retail and defence to publishing. Wendy also has particular experience in providing third party Assurance reporting under ISAE3402 and SAS70 international and US controls reporting standards.
