I have worked for 10 years in the field of special education. I worked for 9 nine years as resource teacher and for a year and a half as special education teacher in a private day school in Yuma, Az. I recently moved (February) from Yuma back to Texas and have been exploring how to incorporate social media and technology into my interests and hobbies. I hope to create a successful side business using e-commerce while continuing to teach here in Texas. I also plan on getting secondary certifications in the upcoming year. I have been interested in art and photography for several years. I am trying to share my work with others using social media and working on setting up my own webpage.. I have an ongoing project that I share with others using google plus. I enjoy finding inspiration in my neighborhood of El Jardin. I am lucky that I live close to the water and close to a bird sanctuary. I also have been focusing on becoming more prepared to teach students with Dyslexia. I have taken some classes online at the Dyslexia Training Institute in San Diego and am registered to take the Basic Language Skills Class this summer at Neuhaus Education Center beginning my road to becoming a licensed Dyslexia therapist.
