About

What is the science-based communication model used by NASA, Pixar, Apple, Microsoft, IBM, Bayer, famous Hollywood producers, and even a President of the USA? First, let me share a little about my journey... I commenced my professional career in Switzerland in the aviation industry as both a combat fighter pilot for the Swiss Army, and as a pilot in the commercial aviation industry. Civil and military aviation have a particular thing in common - in high pressure situations, a single small mistake can lead to devastating accidents. As my career progressed into leadership roles I was incredibly focused on people safety. I learned that 80%+ of critical accidents in the aviation industry are directly related to human factors. With this insight, I gained my Masters Degree in Psychotherapy so that I could even more deeply help individuals and teams perform in high pressure situations. It was this study the led me to the Process Communication Model (PCM), a scientifically validated communication model for understanding how people will think, feel, act, communicate and manage stress. PCM is the framework that NASA uses with astronauts to ensure they communicate and perform well in high risk, high pressure situations. PCM is the skillset that brain surgeons use to engage with their teams in the operating theatre. PCM is the communication strategy adopted by leaders and teams across start ups to Fortune 500 organisations. PCM is the approach that major Hollywood studios and even a US President have used to build deeper connections with their audiences. Since discovering the power of PCM and its ability to transform individuals, teams, relationships, and lives, I've dedicated myself to teaching the skillset to others. In New Zealand and Australia, the PCM framework has been embraced, in particular within the medical industry where individuals and teams are constantly working within high pressure, high stress situations where accidents can have life and death consequences. We partner with many high profile organisations such as the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. PCM can be leveraged by individuals, teams, leaders and entire organisations to improve communication and performance.
