I am a 3rd year medical engineering student from Queen Mary University who has a specific interest in myoelectric prosthesis, and am always on the lookout for new opportunities to following in this field. My third year project looked at the use of soft pneumatic actuators in the creation of an adjustable rehabilitation splint, and had me hone a range of skills from practical problem solving to multiple technical write-ups. During the course of the project I helped develop and test a novel type of actuator, and went on to score 82% for this project. One day I hope to use the skills I learnt during the range of projects I have done to help develop other fields in new and interesting ways.
