Whitney Kasper

My interests are focused on adult language and cognition deficits secondary to TBI, stroke, and dementia. Currently, I am working as a Speech Language Pathologist PRN with Paragon in Lafayette, IN. While at Purdue University, I worked with a variety of clients, including: child and adult articulation; child and adult language; child and adult pragmatics; adult dysphagia assessment and treatment, including oral mechanism evaluations, bedside swallow evaluations, and VFSS at Indiana University Health Arnett; child fluency; transgender voice; Parkinson's voice client; and dementia and aphasia assessment and therapy. Clients were seen in an array of environments, including in the Purdue clinic, IU Health Arnett, Lafayette ENT, and multiple extended care facilities. My educational externship was completed in the primary and intermediate school levels, and my healthcare externship at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, primarily in acute rehabilitation and long-term ICU. Prior to attending Purdue, I received a Master of Arts degree in Applied Linguistics at Boston University, focusing on syntax and American Sign Language. As an undergraduate, I studied Spanish, Arabic, and Islam.
