About
I am a registered professional archaeologist (RPA) whose career in cultural resource management (CRM) began in 2000. My professional work with Tribal programs and private firms in the Pacific Northwest includes archaeological investigations for compliance with Federal, Tribal, State, and local regulations in Oregon and Washington. Areas of expertise include archaeological field methods for inventory, testing, and data recovery, as well as lithic analysis, geoarchaeology, geographic information systems (GIS), and LIDAR remote sensing. I earned a Master of Science degree in Anthropology from Central Washington University in 2013 with a research focus in Columbia Plateau archaeology. My (1999) Bachelors degree in Anthropology from Indiana University in Bloomington included archaeological field schools in Belize and Indiana. Prior to my focus in the Pacific Northwest region, I lived on-the-road for seven years, employed as a "shovelbum" archaeologist in a total of 24 states, including Alaska, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Texas, and Florida. My current position with Yakama Nation Fisheries focuses on CRM for endangered salmon habitat restoration projects in the upper Yakima River Basin.
