Will Alexander started in the IT field in early 2003 as a network technician. In early 2005 he moved onto an FBI contract where he built and managed servers but eventually grew tired of being on the dark (systems) side. During his first week at SGI, he was given a firewall with no guidance or manual and told to “Make it work”. It was at that point he knew this was what he wanted to do. Since then, Will has helped SGI as well as several vendors harden their security footprint as well as create and implement MSSP offerings. Over the years he realized that while it is easy to understand the products and services needed to protect organizations against threats, sometimes the upfront cost prohibits this. He enjoys the challenge of securing and protecting organizations, and being able to offer solutions to protect organizations against known, new, and emerging threats as monthly managed services.
