William Athanas

I represent clients facing federal indictment, enforcement action or government inquiry. My practice focuses principally on the defense of white collar prosecutions and regulatory investigations, primarily in the areas of banking, healthcare, and securities. I regularly represent witnesses subpoenaed to appear before state and federal grand juries, and in SEC proceedings. In addition, I provide anti-corruption advice and counsel to a broad range of publicly traded and privately held corporations doing business internationally, including those in the apparel, gaming, automotive, resource extraction, construction, and professional sports industries. I also represent healthcare providers in the defense of qui tam actions, and regularly conduct internal investigations, particularly where the underlying conduct is sensitive in nature.
