William Dinwiddie

I first developed an interest in engineering as a farmhand. When equipment broke, we manufactured solutions with what we had. After that, I dove straight in to mechanical design and began drafting courses as my high school electives - this was an excellent segue into my undergraduate career at Mississippi State University, where I gained my B.S. in mechanical engineering. During this time, I completed 5 semesters of co-ops , 3 at Nemak and 2 at Gestamp, giving me a year and a half of experience prior to graduation. I also honed my leadership skills by captaining the MSU Battle Bots team and teaching martial arts in my free time. Not even a week after graduation, I began work as a process engineer for Gestamp, where I gained further knowledge on how designs are implemented in practical terms and earned my FANUC robot certification.
