William Sanders

I began my working career in the catering industry, starting as a waiter in a local restaurant and learning from my peers to develop my skill set to eventually become the front of house manager. From there I went on to a conference and events supervisor for compass catering at the Museum of science and industry, managing a team of 15 for events of up to 3000 people. Compass catering enabled me to develop my time management, delegation, adaptability and management skills to ensure the each client had all their needs met in a pleasant environment and ensuring each conference ran smoothly. During this period I developed a passion for politics and international relations which led me to take up studying a degree at the University West of England. I am currently in my second year and I am very passionate about gender studies, international development and policy analysis. All of which are fields I hope to gain experience through internships and employment as my career progresses.
