Xanthe has acquired an extensive legal background whilst juggling the fortitude of primary caretaking. Over the last 20 years Xanthe has 'lawyered' across a range of roles within the legal industry including practising as a:(a) sole Legal Practitioner Director of a boutique law firm overseeing legal compliance and practice management requirements (4 years)(b) parliamentary research assistant (1.5 years)(c) academic at QUT teaching across the commercial law spectrum (11 years)(d) clerk/solicitor in a top tier commercial law firm: Blake Dawson Waldron - now Ashurst (3 years)Xanthe holds a Master of Laws (GPA 6.75/7), a Master of Finance (Distinction); and a Practice Management certificate (QLS). She is very excited to now have the blessed flexibility to fully focus on her career in legal compliance and risk management. Together these qualifications put her in terrific stead to research and evaluate legal issues and to provide fully informed practical advice taking into consideration the different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations. Xanthe has advocacy experience before the Magistrates & Federal Court. She has also briefed counsel before all Queensland Courts. Her key skills are legal analyses & compliance, strategic commercial advice & negotiation, problem solving, advocacy, teammanship & written communication.There is no end to her motivation and energy. And as a passionate worker, she has a strong ethic for teammanship, dedication, practical logic, honesty and empathy.
