Xiaoning Wan

Reading science fiction is my favorite hobby. And one day when I was a kid, reading The Foundation series of Issac Asimov, I believed the Psychohistory must be real: There should be some mathematical statistics method to make predictions about the future behavior of very large groups of people. Then I knew It's called bid data so many years later. And the dream of being a Psychohistorian and changing the world leads me to the gate of computer science. Now I'm a fresh graduate student from Boston University (where Asimov worked as an instructor of biochemistry) and I'm still dreaming of changing this world as a software engineer. I enjoy programming some mini-project to change my life, like a software can play my cell phone game for me automatically or a web crawler to download what I need. I also have some project about machine learning and public goods economic experiment. But I know I'm not reaching my limit, now I'm actively looking for fascinating job opportunities to realize my dream. I'm an energetic, cooperative and easy-going programmer, writing highly readable codes with helpful notes. I'm good at coding with Python, Java, C#, and SQL. With my knowledge from Master Degree in Project Management, I have a good understanding of project lifecycle and agile development. So I can keep my projects on schedule with a high quality of coding. I'm a dream chaser, optimistic learner, and reliable cooperator. There is nothing more rewarding than getting a new idea, realizing it with my work, and more importantly, watching the impact it gonna make on this world.
