Xiaoyan Huang, MD

Xiaoyan Huang, MD, MHCM, FACC is a cardiologist and Medical Director of General Cardiology at Providence Heart Institute, Portland, Oregon. She is the immediate-past President of Medical Staff at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. She sits on the Board of the Portland InterHospital Physicians Association and is recently elected to the Chinese American Heart Association Board as a VP. Dr. Huang graduated from Yale College and Stanford Medical School. She completed her Internal Medical Residency and Cardiology Fellowship training at Oregon Health & Sciences University and holds a Master of Science degree in Health Care Management from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Huang’s research focus has been around specialty practice improvement, payment reform, health policy and economics. She has published on these topics in the New England Journal of Medicine, Circulation, Harvard Business Review, New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst, etc. She has given presentations on these topics internationally. In gratitude to Yale, Dr. Huang devotes a significant amount of her spare time to the Yale community, having served as the immediate past President of Yale Club of Oregon and SW Washington. She is the Vice Chair of the Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors.
