I love extracting insights from data and leveraging software systems to automate large-scale data-driven decision-making processes. Ever since I built my first neural network model in 2008 for my undergraduate thesis, I know data science would be my passion for years to come. I'm a data science leader and ML engineer with more than 8 years of industry experience. The systems my teams built cover domains such as search, recommendation, nlp, fraud detection, with applications in food manufacturing & distribution, online job marketplaces, and most recently auto insurance. My current role with Geico focuses on building ML systems for claims business stakeholders to detect fraudulent transactions and improve efficiencies of the claims handling process.
