Yang-Chieh Lee

My name is Yang-Chieh Lee and I graduated from the 5-year teaching program at Rutgers Graduate School of Education in May 2016 with a Master’s degree and a K-12 duel teaching certification in Foreign Language Education (specifically Chinese) and English as a Second Language. During my time at Rutgers, I worked with visiting scholars from China at the Rutgers China Office and New Brunswick community members at the Rutgers’ Mandarin Conversation Café. Currently, I am working as a full-time ESL teacher at John Witherspoon Middle School for grades 6, 7, & 8 in the Princeton District where I participate in both pull-out ESL classes in my own classroom and push-in co-taught English Language Arts classes. I am also a member of the school's Equity Committee where our mission statement is "to provide the JW community with resources and support to promote a deeper understanding of equity concerns in order to establish an empathetic, collaborative, and culturally responsive school."
