Choon Kit (CK) has more than 10 years of experience in the financial markets with a focus on equities and derivatives clearing sales and trading. Currently at Mizuho Securities, he is building up the AxJ derivatives clearing franchise out of Singapore. CK works with corporate hedgers including major energy trading firms and financial institutions for their hedging and trading solutions. He has previous work stints at the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) & Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX) where he was responsible for spearheading the foreign investors' growth expansion. During his tenure, CK focused on working with global HFT firms, quant funds and financial institutions to boost trading volumes and liquidity in SET’s equities and derivatives markets. CK’s contributions to SET was made possible through his previous experience at ABN AMRO Clearing Bank as a Relationship Manager where he built a strong network of HFT clients. He has also helped trading firms expand their global footprint in Asian financial markets. In addition to the traditional finance (Tradfi), CK has also ventured into cryptocurrency/DeFi space. He was appointed Director for a Hong Kong SFC licensed entity's subsidiary in Singapore to establish trading counterparties and developing new business among the cryptocurrency trading space.
