Yogita Limaye

Yogita Limaye is South Asia and Afghanistan Correspondent for the BBC. She has worked with the organisation for over a decade producing television, radio and online reports for global and UK outlets of BBC News. Yogita has experience covering conflict and reports regularly from Afghanistan and Ukraine. She has covered other global stories including the covid crisis in India, the Rohingya refugee crisis, elections in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the 2015 Nepal earthquake and the 2008 Mumbai attacks. She has also done stints in the US, South Korea and the Middle East covering the Syrian civil war, the refugee crisis in Greece and tensions between North and South Korea. She’s interviewed top personalities like Donald Trump, Howard Schultz, Sheikh Hasina, Abdullah Abdullah, Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone. Yogita is an experienced presenter. She has anchored shows like Talking Business, India Business Report, Reinventing India and Witness, and hosted live events including the BBC's annual Indian Sportswoman of the Year award ceremony. Prior to working at the BBC, Yogita was an anchor and senior correspondent at CNN IBN.
