Youssef Sfaif

Youssef Sfaif is a senior capital markets and reinsurance convergence specialist with a solid track record across re/insurance linked investing, bespoke transactions structuring and insurance capital management. Youssef currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Mt. Logan Re, Ltd. ("Mt. Logan"), the third-party capital unit of global (re)insurance group Everest Re Group, Ltd. Prior to joining Mt. Logan in 2022, Youssef worked at PGGM as a member of the Credit & Insurance Linked Investments team, most recently serving as a Director & Senior Investment Manager. During his tenure with the pension fund manager which he joined in 2017, he originated, structured and executed billions of dollars of insurance linked investments across a variety of strategies, from sidecars to rated reinsurer joint ventures, in addition to collateralized reinsurance funds. He was also a key contributor to the portfolio construction and management efforts of the team. Prior to joining PGGM, Youssef worked for several years in the structured reinsurance business at SCOR Global P&C and Marsh where he gained significant experience in designing tailored and capital efficient reinsurance and risk financing solutions across a variety of non-life risks. Youssef is a graduate of the actuarial school of the University of Lyon, a.k.a Institut de Science Financière et d’Assurances ("ISFA").
