Yvonne is a professional, qualified Counsellor and Eating Therapist working within the educational, health, mental and social care environment. She is aware of the pressures and issues facing 20+ year olds leaving full time education and beginning the next phase of their lives. Currently she is looking to extend contacts with likeminded health professionals in London, such as Nutritionists and Dieticians in order to provide her clients with the best support possible. She regularly holds talks and workshops on food issues such as emotional eating, dieting and eating disorders. When working with groups to tackle eating issues, she works holistically looking at beliefs and habits around food whilst exploring body image, self esteem and assertiveness. Yvonne works in an integrative way aiming to build a trusting and open relationship with her clients allowing them to feel comfortable to explore their issues in a safe environment. She strives to provide a confidential and non-judgemental space for clients to explore their issues. Obesity and eating disorders are her areas of specialism having completed the Master Practitioner Training with the National Centre with Eating Disorders (NCFED). She is also very interested in the relationship between what we eat and the effect this has on our mental and physical health.
