- Responsible for system wide Diagnostic protocol management to include optimization, standardization across the organization. · Develops, implements, and optimizes Diagnostic protocols and new technology capabilities. · Develops, implements, and monitors Diagnostic Image Quality program. · Collaborates with Imaging Leadership and Imaging Physics to ensure standardization and compliance with accrediting bodies including but not limited to Joint Commission, Ohio Department of Health, American College of Radiology. Provides planning, executing, and monitoring methods for the achievement of service line initiatives related to enhancing and sustaining Radiology Quality and Safety, inclusive of visual tools and communication strategies. · Develops, reviews, and revises Diagnostic/Fluoroscopy protocol manual, applicable clinical practice guidelines, Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs), and policies. · Maintains competence in most up to date ACR requirement manuals and collaborates with medical physics team and modality physician lead to implement changes. · Reviews and provides feedback on modality specific capital equipment needs and quotes as well as equipment upgrades. · Assists in the scheduling and optimization of modality specific applications training and vendor supplied educational opportunities. · Collaborates with all departments/services on performance improvement initiatives, participates in prioritization of performance improvement teams, and collaborates with system quality management. · Sentinel Event Facilitator · Assists with establishing key performance indicators (KPI) relating to quality, safety, access to services, and customer satisfaction. · Develops modality specific data reports and dashboards and consistently utilizes data to drive decisions and provide regular updates. · Assists in developing modality specific clinical documentation standards for technologists. · Identifies improvement opportunities for modality specific training, workflows, and processes and develops plan for implementation of changes. · Acts as a mentor for technologists and develops front line staff to proactively recognize quality and safety concerns and how to troubleshoot. · Presents modality specific quality and safety updates to front line staff, Imaging leadership, and other medical center stakeholders. · Acts as a team lead for complex projects. · Ensures continual survey readiness in preparation for survey visits from accrediting or regulatory agencies.
