I have been a Small Market New Business (SMNB) CL Processor at Nationwide for over a year now and have gained a lot of valuable experience in the world of insurance. I have been trained to quote General Liability, Property, MPA’s, SPP’s, BOP’s, Business Auto, Workers Comp, Inland Marine, Crime, and Umbrella policies. Working directly with Underwriting and analyzing countless pages in Knowledge Advance to make decisions when quoting has given me a great base of knowledge about insurance practices and policies. Each account I quote and/or issue provides its own unique challenges. I am a Simpson graduate with a BA in Business Management and a minor in History. My business courses at Simpson have provided me with a breadth of knowledge in business related fields such as accounting, finance, economics, marketing, and management, and have given me a lot of experience working within teams to accomplish goals. The many history courses I have taken have given me excellent critical thinking and written communication skills, and have forced me to constantly think outside the box. In addition to attending Simpson College full-time, I worked part-time at the Indianola Hy-Vee from 2013 to 2018. My experiences as a Customer Service Representative and Assisstant Manager have awarded me with excellent customer service and verbal communication skills. Interacting with customers in many different capacities and working closely with co-workers to solve problems and accomplish goals at Hy-Vee has given me a lot of valuable work experience in the business world.
