As the Manager of Environmental Data Services at AMG Environmental, I oversee our storm and sewer flow monitoring services for municipalities, water districts, and housing development companies. Our specialized product identifies and resolves sewer capacity and flow issues. In my current role, I manage the Data Analysis Department. My focus is on providing the best quality data possible, limiting assumptions, and increasing transparency by being proactive with quality control and quality assurance. By leveraging my skills and experience, I help municipalities and land developers save resources, obtain real-time accurate data, and reduce overall capital expenditure. With experience in performing sanitary sewer flow and rainfall monitoring in various municipalities, I have gained in-depth knowledge on data collection, delivery, and reporting for modelling purposes. I study open-channel flow hydraulics, review hydrographs and analyze scatterplots to track emerging trends in the data. I am passionate about mitigating and managing wet weather flows and have helped guide cities in developing servicing strategies that reduce inflow and infiltration. Before joining AMG Environmental, I worked as an Environmental Lab and Field Technician at Environment Canada, where I contributed to two major projects for the Water Quality Monitoring and Surveillance division: The Great Lakes Nutrient Initiative and the Chemicals Management Plan. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of the importance of accurate and reliable data in the environmental field. My educational background includes a B.A. (Hons) in Geography from The University of Guelph and an Environmental Technician diploma from Mohawk College. I am passionate about using my skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on environmental issues and am committed to helping clients achieve their sustainability goals.
