Zachary Beacham

Since graduating from the RICS accredited building surveying degree from Liverpool John Moores University, I have previously worked for a large commercial developer and currently project managing construction schemes for NHS Property Services. My current role sees me interacting with internal and external clients, developers and property managers to bring together their project requests by offering advice and engaging with my selected design consultants and contractors whilst making sure each project runs safely, in a timely manner and within budget. My skills cover all aspects of construction from planning stage, design and build, through to completion and handover. Current projects up to the value of roughly 500K include; asbestos removal within health centres and clinics. Internal fit outs to both cat A & cat B specifications. Roofing and external fabric repairs. M&E upgrades and repairs (planned and reactive). Fire stopping and passive fire protection. Collating and issuing pre-construction information, project risk registers and construction phase plans. Throughout my time within the construction industry I have learned not only to complete projects requested by the client but to take a step back and question the future needs of the project and/or property, long term plans of the asset for example. I have also found the most difficult and complex schemes and requests often return the biggest learning curve upon completion.
