Zachary Morgenthaler

I'm Zack and I design and develop Web Applications. I love programming in C# and JavaScript. Lately, I've been enjoying working with Microsoft's Blazor. My journey as a programmer started when I was just 15 when my mother signed me up for a summer camp that taught Visual Basic. I'm almost 30 now and I've been following that road for quite a while. Though originally a Design/Fine Arts student in college, I ended up being taught some frontend skills by a kind Redditor my sophomore year. I had no issue picking the skills up, took to the tools fondly, and enjoyed creating with them. Intrigued by what I'd been taught, a week later I ended up diving into the curriculum at Whitworth eventually followed their Computer Science department's guidance partway through their B.A.. The years followed that brought the knowledge, wisdom, and experience that could only come from taking on many projects. Between the two internships I held and my time as an independent contractor I've worked for over 20 online and e-commerce companies. ..Back when IE7 and responsive design where a thing: simultaneously. 😂 Been using photoshop since I was 13, and am very comfortable in front of Illustrator. Premiere and Lightroom aren't really strangers either. My main focus is programming, but If needed I can whip some media up to spice up a project. As a developer my focus is on UI and UX. With professional training I've learned how to utilize benchmarking to improve web applications through A/B/n and multivariate design testing. I've done a lot of it and I when working on a project I try to remember the lessons learned along the way. 🤓
