Zachary Smith

Hi! My name is Zach! I am originally from New Zealand where I studied and then worked for the government for a couple of years before coming to Italy. I am a native English speaker, but I also speak perfect Italian as it is the language I speak at home. The role I covered in the New Zealand public administration was as an Associate Editor in the Privacy and Official Information Services of the Ministry for Social Development. This role honed my communication and organisational skills and also gave me the possibility to do something I am passionate about: increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of organisational processes. Over my time in Italy I have worked with Gruppi Biblici Universitari, a christian association which promotes the christian faith amongst university students. In this role I had responsibility for a team of volunteers, I organised events and conferences of different sizes, and I also spoke in public in both English and Italian. Since 2020, I have been working at Trust-IT Services and COMMpla, working on disseminating European research project results and realising impactful and UX designed websites for our clients. My skills include copywriting, website content management, UX analysis, social media management, and event management.
