Zahid Abdullah

I’ve the experience of studying at Masters level, with one degree from a public university with sight and the other from a private one without sight. I believe that access barriers in physical and social environment render people disabled and not the physical impairments. Guided by this philosophy, I have been contributing to the right to information and disability rights movements in the country for over 2 decades as a trainer, resource person and as a researcher. I’ve authored ‘Disabled by Society’ and ‘The Wise Man’ and have contributed over 60 Op-Ed articles in national dailies on human rights. I’m currently serving as Federal Information Commissioner at Pakistan Information Commission. As information commissioner I have authored over 107 detailed Orders, the process continues.
