I am a 2015 MBA graduate of George Washington University focusing in sports management and data analytics who enjoys analyzing data to improve decision-making. My goal is to pair my analytical and technical skills with my interest in basketball to perform statistical analysis on SportVU and other data, salary cap assessments, and talent evaluation in a basketball operations department.My previous experiences include:1. Programming experience – Learned the fundamentals of programming through my computer science degree and implemented solutions through scripting experiments in the WVU biometrics lab and the chief engineering team at Northrop Grumman. 2. Scientific research – Performed research in the WVU biometrics lab throughout the entire process from data collection to publication. 3. Database management – At Northrop Grumman I managed an experimental database for predictive modeling that includes data mining, maintenance, and analysis. 4. Statistical Analysis – Included Bayesian analysis and machine learning models as well as gap analysis, receiver operating characteristics curves, among others. 5. Communication – Presented actionable information to non-technical project management at Northrop Grumman to improve operational efficiencies of systems. As an engineer, I enjoy improving processes to make them more efficient as well as using data to improve decision-making.
