Zhaowen (Dominic) Fang

Dominic is a finance graduate enthusiastic in both fundamental and technical investing. He first started investing in stock markets in early 2015 and learned valuable lessons during the 2015 Shanghai stock market crash. In summer 2018, Dominic enrolled in Brandeis University to pursue his Master’s degree in International Economics and Finance. With continuous passion in investing, he joined the Global Market Investment Club at Brandeis, where he had an opportunity to manage a 140 thousand USD fund with a small team mainly focused on US equity and indices. He also won the first place in Brandeis Stock Pitch Challenge with his teammates in 2018. At the moment, he works part time in Traub Capital Management, an investment advisor for high wealth individuals, where he assists the portfolio manager with various investment functions in relates to portfolio management and client service. Dominic currently focuses on research in US equity market. He analyzes companies of any size or industry, primarily using discounted earnings and cash flow approach to value stocks, and using technical analysis to find a good trading opportunities. He favors stocks with solid fundamentals and high growth potential. Dominic follows major economic news, especially the ongoing trade tension between China and the United States, and offers his own opinions on potential impacts to the stock market.
