Zied OUNISSI

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in law and a Master’s degree in political science from the Université Paris 8 and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Starting while I was still studying, I gained experience in journalism at major French news outlets such as Le Monde, Le Figaro, AFP, and the web department of the television station La chaîne Parlementaire. After my studies, I specialized in political and communications consulting for politicians and public policy makers. I have successively been parliamentary assistant at the Senate, political advisor to the cabinet of the Mayor of Montreuil, and advisor in communications and press relations at the Interministerial Delegation for the Fight against Racism, Antisemitism and Homophobia which is directly linked to the Prime Minister’s office. Through these positions, I acquired expertise in the governance of public action at the parliamentary, local, and national levels. Also, as the advisor in communications and press relations of the DILCRAH, I have been closely involved in the drafting of the Prime Ministry’s recently released national plan against racism and antisemitism 2018-2020, which focuses on hate speech restrictions.
