N.Dip : Chemical Engineering student at Damelin College and second year candidate lab technician at Quorus Biotech in Cape Town currently gaining exposure and work experience in the field of Microbiology and Bio processing. With great help from Dr. Natasha Mavengere, Miss Siphokazi Makeleni, Miss Thubelihle Dladla and Dr. Wade Edwards, I get to learn about the techniques of production, innovation and supply and to also gain knowledge in the potential existence to employ biotechnology in the cases of biofuels from available biomass resources. This platform grants me an opportunity to respond to an ever-changing market Part of my interests include joining the Oil and Energy industry. I want to develop a good understanding of the processes for the development of Oil and Energy. I want to take part in a two year training programme working alongside industry experts to play an instrumental role in a work place through a range of activities that span the Oil and Energy. My interest to Oil and Energy, through Bioprocessing has led to strengths of being strategic, an ability of finishing tasks through good communication skills. In addition, I value hard work and honesty. I work to my level best with every small opportunity provided. My natural ability has contributed to networking skills and adaptation to different cultures and personalities. My dedication to learning about the work I am involved in has given me ambition to be a keen observer, to be self sacrificing and paying good attention to detail. As an engineer, I believe that the growth of Microbiology and Bioprocessing can greatly contribute to the advancement of of humanity at large and support technological innovation.
