About

I am a current Environmental Policy and Planning student at the School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and work as a Research Assistant at the Graham Sustainability Institute. I am interested in creating and implementing sustainable and equitable policies and plans into our built urban environment — particularly for cities to reach their climate decarbonization and adaptation goals. My Master's Capstone Project is with the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), and my team is designing a program to encourage rural communities to proactively zone for utility scale renewable energy. In addition to my work for my capstone, I've worked with the Graham Sustainability Institute on designing a tool for municipalities to calculate building and transportation emissions to inform planning decisions on proposed developments. I have a basic understanding of ArcMap, Arc GIS Pro, data analysis skills in STATA and R, and I am proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office. Through my academic and work/internship experiences, I have developed strong critical thinking, verbal, and written skills, and I am an active listener and team player.
