Alain Dargham is a seasoned broadcast journalist recently joined MTV Lebanon one of the leading network in the Middle east. Previously At Alhurra, Alain has conducted high profile interviews with international figures from the world of politics, entertainment, sports and business. Most recently Alain was granted the exclusive right to interview six former Latin American Presidents as part of a conference hosted at the Inter-American Development Bank dealing with the relationship between the US and the Nations of Latin America. Other notable interviews include US Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, Afghanistan Political Leader Amb. Walid Massoud, Congressman Gregory Meeks (D-NY), Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI), Congressman Darrel Issa (R-CA), Congressman Eliot Engel (D-NY) Ranking Member on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA) US Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs Anne Patterson, Victoria Reggie Kennedy, Former First Lady of Lebanon Nayla Mouwad, the Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon Riyad Salemeh, Amb. Antoine Chedid of Lebanon, Amb. Mohamed Tawfik of Egypt Amb. Ivonne Baki, Pres. Reagan's Chief of Protocol Lucky Roosevelt and Pres. Clinton's Appointee Mrs. Harriet Fulbright, Alain secured the first interview with Ruslan Tsarni, uncle to the Tsarnaev brothers immediately following the Boston Marathon Bombing. Alain was one of the first reporters to interview Ambassador Jose Cuisia following the devastating floods in the Philippines. During the 2012 and 2013 Hurricane Seasons, Alain covered the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Irene. He was also one of the first reporters on the scene to cover the impact of the August 2011 earthquake in Washington DC. Once the earthquake hit, he was on the air describing its impact and gave updates on the damage caused by the quake. Prior to Alhurra, Alain was a news anchor, producer and reporter for UTVS in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
