I am a Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse with the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, Riverina , NSW. The Prostate Cancer Specialist Nursing Service is a PCFA initiative which funds the placement of nurses in hospitals across Australia in partnership with health service providers. Currently there are 29 Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses in Australia and with recently secured funding, the Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse team will continue to expand to 45 nationwide in 2018. This will greatly benefit men with prostate cancer, and those who care for them. My background in nursing includes: Urological practice nurse, Orthopedic specialist nurse, General Surgical, Critical Care, Pain Management, Rehabilitation, Integrated Care, Community, GP Liaison and Continence Nursing. My passion lies with helping prostate cancer patients through their journey from diagnosis to palliation and all stages and treatment modialities inbetween.
