Carlos Monterroso

At my time at Year Up, I obtained significant knowledge in Microsoft Office, and Windows Operating Systems. Also, I sharpened my business communication skills to aid me when servicing customers. I interned at Deltek as an IT support technician performing similar tasks as my current role. I worked in a couple of contracts for INOVA, and DELL as an IT Field Technician. In these roles, I gained experience troubleshooting, and replacing hardware components on many different systems. I displayed strong customer care and tech skills by communicating efficiently with all people I came in contact with. After my contracts, I was presented with an opportunity to work at Deltek. I am currently working at Deltek as a full-time employee in the IT department. I image computers & build new computers, configure Cisco softphones/desk phones, set up desks, ship equipment , and much more. I ensure that they have all of their necessary software installed, as well as computer components configured to allow them to complete their work as efficiently as possible. I am currently attending college where I am working towards getting a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. In the future, I will have graduated from college, and would continue my career in Cyber Security. I am strongly motivated and passionate about IT. I constantly seek to learn and grow personally and professionally, and share my knowledge with others.
